Volunteer language tutors meet regularly with migrants to do activities together with the aim of improving their language skills and familiarising them with our everyday life and culture.
Are you already a volunteer language or arts tutor? Visit the herbst exhibition “Hall of Half Life” together with your “charges” at this year’s festival centre in the GrazMuseum. We are pleased to invite you and – if possible and desired – to provide an interpreter. Also, an area of the festival centre is reserved where you can sit down and chat without having to buy anything. Please contact education@steirischerherbst.at to register.
Have you been toying with the idea of getting involved as a volunteer language tutor or activities volunteer? We will be happy to put you in contact with an organisation such as Caritas, Zebra, etc. and then invite you to the exhibition! Drop us a line, we’ll pass it on!
Specifically, steirischer herbst would like to encourage German classes with migrants living in Styria to visit steirischer herbst. Register with a group and we will give you a tour of the festival centre and the “Hall of Half Life” exhibition. If necessary, or if you wish, we will also arrange an interpreter!
