These days, knowledge and creativity are regarded as a fundamental raw material for social and economic development. In the postindustrial age, the creative industry, as it is known, plays a special role in promoting quality of location, art and culture which are crucial in creating quality life. The aim of the Ideenschmiede, or think tank, is to examine the question of how the Porubsky Halle can become a venue for experimentation and play so as to encourage creativity in society. 15.30 – 16.30: Impromptu presentations by Günther Friesinger (vacancy, usage of industrial space, introduction), Paul Rajakovics (Perspective of a former inhabitant of Leitendorf. Urbanized interventions), Nicole Maunz (art spaces within the region)

16.45 – 17.45: Workshops with Franz Lammer, Rainer Rosegger and the speakers / 4 working groups on topics/questions like: concepts for the building / creativity & economy / gastronomy / co-working-spaces/ art, culture, economy ...
