On Sunday, 18/10 steirischer herbst 2015 ended. There were 131 projects and 502 events on 24 days of the festival.
The number of visitors was over 52.215, not including artistic projects that took place in public space and in media. It is also gratifying to note once again the very high percentage of tickets sold for stage productions and concerts of 95,56 %.
More than 800 artists, theorists and other participants from a total of 46 nations were involved.
The video documentary “herbst remixed” accompanies the steirischer herbst festival, recording everything that happens. It documents what takes place, remixes what people see, focuses on what goes unobserved, and creates new links – a review of the steirischer herbst 2015.
The festival centre at this year’s steirischer herbst is being staged by the Italian architecture collective orizzontale as a retro-futuristic space station.
For the third time in succession steirischer herbst has received a Maecenas award for its committed and successful activities in cooperation with the business world.
Following the MAECENAS Austria 2014 merit prize and the Maecenas Styria 2015 for Major Arts and Culture Providers in September, steirischer herbst has been awarded the Maecenas Ö1 Audience Award 2015 on November 25.
